Without the use of any motor, you can still accomplish a number of missions using passive attachments. You can still pull/push on different levers using only a beam or two connected to the frame.
Rubber bands in the LEGO Mindstorms sets are very handy when it comes to collecting objects, especially loops. The mechanism most of the time could work like this - an axle is pushed, a rubber band is released and a lever collects the loop.

In this video tutorial, the Chain Monster box robot accomplishes three missions in a single run from the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge season. The LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot uses an active attachment to collect the mini figures, to push a lever, and to deliver the figures to their designated places. The robot starts from the red base and returns to the blue base, performing all these actions in less than 20 seconds - consistently and reliably.

In this video tutorial we accomplish the FIRST LEGO League 2022-2023 SUPER POWERED mission called M04 Solar Farm. We use the chain monster box robot along with a passive attachment that helps us collect 3 of the energy units. The interesting thing about the mission is the collection of the units, of course, but also the way this robot manoeuvres when there is not enough space. It aligns to the lines, it uses the color and motion sensors. Really advance way to align the robot.

In this video tutorial the Chain Monster LEGO box robot uses a multi-purpose attachment to collect two elements from the FIRST LEGO League 2022-2023 SUPER POWERED field and these are the "water" units on the field. What's interesting is that the contain where the water units are stored could be closed and opened and this allows us to freely move while non of the water units are lost.
