Raise the mast to restore the sunken shipwreck and explore what is inside.
Retrieve the chest from the shipwreck to reveal the history and treasure it holds.
Rearrange the artificial habitat stacks to create safe homes for the crabs and other sea creatures in this area.
An unknown creature has attached itself to the AUV! Safely release it and deliver it to the cold seep.
Some waters are too difficult to reach with larger ships. Send the submersible to explore the opposing field’s waters.
Use the ship’s sonar technology to scan the surroundings for nearby objects or animals.
Krill are a whale’s favorite food! Collect the krill and feed them to the hungry whale.
Adjust the cargo ship’s route to safely avoid whale migration routes by moving to another shipping lane.
Collect samples and artifacts from around the mat so they can be analyzed by scientists in the lab.
Securely dock the ship that contains the samples and artifacts your team has collected.
This video tutorial focuses on accomplishing M02 Shark, collecting the trident for M14 Sample Collection, and collecting a Krill for M12 Feed the Whale of the FIRST LEGO League 2024-2025 SUBMERGED Challenge using the Nautiq box robot (a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot). In this series of test runs, our goal is to achieve 10 out of 10 successful attempts, meaning the robot completes all three missions flawlessly in every trial.
The robot uses a pinless attachment with locking beams for stability, enabling it to push the shark into its habitat, trigger a drop wall to catch the Krill, and lower a motorized arm with rubber parts to grab the Trident. This efficient approach ensures consistent results across the attempts while maintaining stability and precision throughout the runs. You can watch the full explaining tutorial here.
This video tutorial focuses on accomplishing M8 Artificial Habitat of the FIRST LEGO League 2024-2025 SUBMERGED Challenge using the Nautiq box robot (a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot). The run uses a simple active pinless attachment mounted at the front of the robot for precise engagement with the mission model.
The goal is a perfect 10 out of 10 runs by positioning all four crabs upright with their yellow bases touching the mat. You can find the full explaining tutorial here.
Positioning your MINDSTORM robot precisely on the FIRST LEGO League competition field is one of the first things you should learn while preparing. In this video tutorial, we will show three different attachments you could use when aligning to the walls of the competition table. We will show other ways and attachments in some of the next videos.
The attachment builds on previous episodes this time using two LEGO rubber bands. When a lever is released the rubber band exerts pressure on it and moves it in a circular motion. As an example we are solving the 2012 FIRST LEGO League, Senior Solutions, stove mission (which was quite interesting as a mission)
We've already build a number of resources for lifting at FLLCasts.com. But at the end of this course we would have a robot that lifts itself and hangs on the mission model.
