Attachments for Box Robot for Robotics Competitions. Passive attachments Pro Preview

Without the use of any motor, you can still accomplish a number of missions using passive attachments. You can still pull/push on different levers using only a beam or two connected to the frame.

While working with this robot on the field there could be different missions to be accomplished. And these missions could be in front of the robot or on the right or on the left side or even at the back of the robot. And for this you must transfer power from the motors to different attachments. And this is the subject of today's video.

Sometimes you dont't even need to tranfer power to different attachments. You can just add the frame in a very fast way and there are missions that could be accomplished with passive attachments. Attachments that don't require any power from any motor. So, it's just a small beam here and on many different competitions there are tasks that involve just pushing a lever or pulling a lever and for example, this is a house from I think in the Nature's Fury competition and the mission was just to move and push on this lever so that you can leave the house. And this is something you can do without any use of motors. You just move with the robot. Let me just move it right here so that you can see it on the camera. And then you just move forward. And while moving forward you can see that the whole house is lifted. So, you should always try to solve as many missions as possible without the use of any motors or any attachments that use motors. Because it is much easier most of the time. That's my experience. And here we have just a simple beam and with this simple beam we just move forward and you accomplish the mission. Next, we'll continue with actually adding active attachments. Attachments that use the power of the motors.
