  1. XIAO ESP32C3 (Pre-Soldered) - A pre-soldered controller is preferable, as you would be able to build the entire project without any soldering at all.

  2. 2-inch IPS LCD Module - You will need 2 display modules. Any small display that can be controlled via SPI can be used, but do mind that the power supply to those displays will pass through the ESP32 controller's 5V pin, and that creates a bottleneck to the amount of power that can be supplied. Also, note that we picked a display module featuring a connector that spares you any soldering. If the link to the module does not work, you don't need to limit yourself to display modules with connectors, but can instead find a pre-soldered one, as they are more widely available.

  3. Mini Breadboard - We use a 170-Point breadboard, which is the smallest size breadboard that we know of. Needless to say, you can use any larger-size breadboard, but we like these mini breadboards, as they come with sticky tape on the back, allowing you to stick them under the table quite easily.

  4. Jumper Wires - For this project, you will need male-to-male and male-to-female jumper wires. While one set of M-M jumper wires is enough, the amount of M-F jumper wires depends on the distance at which you wish to attach your score-changing buttons.

  5. Tactile Push Buttons - Any tactile buttons will do the job, so pick them based on the way you wish your project to look. Note that buttons that fit on a breadboard can have their legs inserted into jumper wires, sparing you the need for additional work. You need two buttons for this project, but due to their low price, they are not sold individually but as a set for multiple buttons.

  6. Standoffs - We use M2 standoffs for our display modules. If you choose to buy a different one, make sure to match the size of the corner mounting holes.

  7. Double Sided Tape - Any double sided tape will do the trick. The only thing you'll be sticking is the buttons to the surface of your choice.
