This tutorial in an animated demonstration of how a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot could turn precisely at 90 degrees using the Motion Sensor. The goal of the task is to download the program and rotate at exactly 90 degrees. Because of this precise rotation it is easy to know where your robot is on the field and to program the robot to perform in a reproducible way. Programming the LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor for FIRST LEGO League competitions involves learning how to turn left and right with the robot. There are not precise turns. The robot will make mistakes, because that's what robots do. But nevertheless it is important to learn how to program the robot to turn. In this video tutorial we demonstrate the behavior of a LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor robot when we use the Motion sensor. The Motion sensor was also referred to as Gyro sensor in previous versions of the LEGO Mindstorms Robot. We do not enter into the details of the programming and you can download the programs from the course lesson, but we make a demonstration of how the robot turns to about 95 degrees when we try to turn it to 90 degrees, we explain why and we suggest a way to improve the behavior of the robot.

In this video tutorial we demonstrate the user of a quick 'pinless' attachment. As all pinless attachment it is not that they are completely pinless, but that they do not require the "click" of the pins that is often difficult to achieve in a quick pace environment as during FIRST LEGO League competition rounds.

In this video tutorial we continue the exploration of pinless attachments and how to add them and remove them in a quick fashion. This video tutorial is about a detachable attachment. In various FIRST LEGO League competitions there are missions that could be accomplished with an attachment and when you accomplish the mission you must somehow leave the attachment along with the mission model. Probably as a support - most of the time it is as a support. But we've seen some pretty powerful concepts that include things like leaving a clock mechanism that will continue to work for 30 seconds accomplishing the mission.
