Go, robot, grab the ball!

If you want to have some fun and play some ball grabbing with your Mindstorms Robot Inventor 51515 set, these are the building instructions you'll need. As you probably know, Tricky is the smallest robot made from this set. With this ball grabbing attachment, you could program Tricky to grab the Mindstorms/Duplo ball, which is included in the set, and place it wherever you want.

Here are the building instructions for the Turning attachment for Tricky - the Mindstorms 51515 Robot Inventor robot. Tricky might be the smallest robot, built with this set, but it will surprise you with its abilities to spin the ball. If you build this Turning attachment for Tricky, you could try to play a crazy little bowling game with it. As the robot is spinning the ball, you can program it to move forward and then stop, so the ball could go forward (hopefully towards the bowling pins). These instructions show how to build an attachment that could be placed on the front of the robot. This is Cooley, and, it, is, coooooool. It got all the stuff the cool kids have - two motors at the top, two at the bottom, two wheels on the side and it is slim. Build a few attachments for it and take it on a ride during FIRST LEGO League competition

This incredibly compact SPIKE Prime Box Robot is made for competitions like FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and World Robotics Olympiad (WRO). Whakatae (from Maori's word "whakataetae", which means "competitive") is long 17 LEGO units and is with a width of 15 LEGO units. In front of the wheels it has two color sensors which it uses to align. Whakatae also has two Large motors for moving and has two medium motors for attachments!

It's has "V2" in its name, because it's the second version of Whakatae - LEGO Education SPIKE Prime Competition Box robot. The difference between the two is that the first one can be built with only a Large Motor and a Color sensor in addition to the Base set, while this one needs an additional ball bearing. This provides this robot with a lot more stability and can be seen as a true upgrade to the first version.

Light Cooley is an extension of Cooley. We've added two Light/Color sensors to allow for lines to be followed and for the robot to alight to them and we've kept everything Cooley was cool and known about. Build a few attachments for it and take it on a ride for a FIRST LEGO League competition

The Bench mission in FIRST LEGO League 2020 was one of the more complex missions during the competition. It involved two things - lifting part of the mission model and bringing it back to base and in the same time dropping 4 different boxes which was difficult to achieve. We came up with two solutions for SPIKE Prime and for Robot Inventor and this is the Robot Inventor solution. Take a look. This is an pinless robot attachment designed for taking loops. It's built with LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor parts and it demonstrates how to collect a loop while moving with the robot. This is a heavy lifting attachment and it can lift mission models vertically. It is build entirely from LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor 51515 parts. This is one of the more complex and interesting attachments that we demonstrate in the course and it show how a few gear wheels and levers could be used to change the motion from circular to linear. This is powerful concept that could be very valuable during FIRST LEGO League competitions.
