Sometimes the answer that you get by calculating seems not to be right. Is it the calculation that is wrong. Probably it is not the calculation, but something is happening with the robot. 

Connect the attachment to the box robot and find the correct number of rotations of the middle motor that would bring the robot up and forward and would attach it to the mission model.

This is the first, but not the last video tutorial of the course where we reach a specific mission model in a consistent way. We use the Motion sensor and only some basic principles like turning to an angle. If we use the principles in this tutorial and then build an attachment for the mission model we will have a pretty consistent way of accomplishing the FIRST LEGO League mission

This tutorial explains the use of motion and light/color sensors to accomplish a complex mission split into three parts. It gets into detail about how we keep a straight line with the motion sensor, follow a line with the color sensors, and transition between different parts of the program by aligning and detecting lines with the sensor. The goal is to get to a reliable and consistent behavior of the robot. On top of that, it is configurable, as we've left a few parameters that could be set to configure the behavior for a specific robot, venue, lighting, battery level, and wheels friction.

In this video tutorial we demonstrate a Grab attachment build from LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor 51515 set. The goal of the grab attachment is to accomplish the mission of bringing loops back to base without loosing or dropping them when returning. This short animation demonstrates a really useful principle for FIRST LEGO League competition and this is how to use the Inertia of the robot to trigger an attachment that will do the work for us. It is very useful as we don't have to use the motors of the robot and we can afford to use the motors for other things.

This video tutorial is about a detachable attachment. In various FIRST LEGO League competitions there are missions that could be accomplished with an attachment and when you accomplish the mission you must somehow leave the attachment along with the mission model. Probably as a support - most of the time it is as a support. But we've seen some pretty powerful concepts that include things like leaving a clock mechanism that will continue to work for 30 seconds accomplishing the mission.
